FAMILY—

Eric is married to Sonja, his wife of 35 years. Sonja is an educator who currently works as a Reading and Math Interventionist. She leads women’s ministries and women’s discipleship groups.

We have a 32-year-old daughter, Abby Moore who is married to Matthew. They have two sons: Maverick (3) and Crew (7 months). They live in Killen, AL.

Our Son, Seth is 30 is married to Taylor (yes, her name is Taylor Taylor). They have three children: Zayn (10), Judah (5), and Maizy (2) They live in Chelsea, AL.

EDUCATION---

Eric earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC in 1993 and a Doctor of Ministry with specialization in Strategic Leadership and Church Revitalization from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, LA in 2022.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama-Birmingham 1988. 

EXPERIENCE- 

Eric has been in ministry for 35 years.  In that time, he has served in Student Ministry, Church Planting, and as Lead Pastor of established churches.  

Eric has served as a mentor for Church Planters, and as a Revitalization Coach for the Alabama State Board of Missions.  He is currently a member of the Lead Team for Disciple Making Ministries for ALSBOM as well as a Board Member for Shocco Springs Retreat and Conference Center, Talledega, AL. 

Eric has a desire for reaching people, making disciples, and engaging them in the mission of fulfilling the Great Commission.  

Eric has a heart for missions as he has served or led over 40 mission projects around the world.  Some include partnerships in South Dakota (SendRelief), Nicaragua (BMDMI), Jamaica (ACE), Ukraine (Radooga), London (IMB), Honduras (Dan Moran Ministries), and others.
