About US
The Marshall Baptist Association, based in Guntersville, Alabama, is an association of SBC Churches that is committed to the Great Commission and Great Commandment. We voluntarily partner together for Kingdom advancement. We are a collection of different local churches made up of different backgrounds, tribes, tongues, and languages that work together as The Church for God's glory.
The Marshall Baptist Association exists to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ through the cooperative effort of her member churches.
There are currently 98 member churches within the Marshall Baptist Association.
The local church exists to glorify God through making disciples of all people. Our Association exists FOR the churches. Our purpose can only be achieved through the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the local church.
A vision without strategy can never be achieved. Our strategy and framework for ministry can be defined by three simple words: ENCOURAGE, EQUIP, and ENGAGE.
At the Marshall Baptist Association, our mission is lived out through intentional relationships, purposeful ministry, and Gospel-centered action. We serve our churches by walking alongside pastors and leaders, strengthening them for effective ministry, and mobilizing them to impact their communities and beyond. Through these key areas of focus — ENCOURAGE, EQUIP, and ENGAGE — we seek to foster healthy leaders, healthy churches, and a stronger witness for Christ throughout our association.
ENCOURAGE is one of our top priorities at the Marshall Baptist Association as we intentionally invest in the spiritual health of pastors and leaders—fostering meaningful relationships through one-on-one connections, networking lunches, the Marshall Baptist Retreat Center, and trusted resources—believing that encouraged leaders lead to healthier churches and a stronger association.
EQUIP is one of our top priorities at the Marshall Baptist Association as we strengthen churches and leaders through intentional training events, Third Thursday gatherings, collaborative huddles and cohorts, and focused church strengthening—providing practical tools and encouragement to serve more effectively and faithfully.
ENGAGE is one of our top priorities at the Marshall Baptist Association as we actively work to help churches advance the Gospel through church multiplication/growth, mission opportunities, meaningful community impact, and compassionate disaster relief — mobilizing our churches to serve, grow, and respond where Christ is needed most.
